Cadila Pharma appoints Hemant Kumar as President - Supply Chain & Procurement
Cadila Pharma has appointed Hemant Kumar as President - Supply Chain & Procurement at the company.
Hemant shared the update via LinkedIn, stating, "I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as President - Supply Chain & Procurement at Cadila Pharmaceuticals Limited!"
With over 31 years of experience in global supply chain management, Hemant brings a wealth of expertise across Indian and international operations. He led various projects on SAP, MRP, APO and BPR/Simplification in SCM with Accenture, Bristlecone, BCG, Mckinsey & SAP. His professional journey has taken him from a Management Trainee to strategic leadership roles in different functions in Ranbaxy. This has also helped him transform into an expert in terms of systems/processes for all Backend operations comprising Supply Chain/Scheduling/Procurement/Logistics & Technical functions i.e. Mfg./Quality/Regulatory/Development with strong people management & leadership skills. He was also a Part of CEO & MDs office, working for Transformation & Business consulting Function on important Global Initiatives.
At Ranbaxy, Hemant headed the end-to-end Global Supply Chain Function for dosage forms and APIs, for captive consumption / Global Markets, overseeing warehousing functions for API manufacturing. He also played a role in the Sun-Ranbaxy integration team for SCM, later leading Central Planning function for India/Emerging markets/LL Ops & Consumer healthcare.

Hemant also held the position of Vice President & Head – Regional Supply Chain and Logistics at Mylan Laboratories. His previous company before joining Cadila was Glenmark Pharma Mumbai.
