Crime Branch Busts Illegal Psychotropic Drug Trade, Pharmacist Among 3 Held

Cuttack Health Manager Arrested for Harassing Female Staff
Bhopal: In a crackdown on the illegal drug trade, the Crime Branch in Bhopal has arrested three individuals, including a pharmacist, for allegedly trafficking psychotropic substances banned under Indian law.
According to a recent media report in The Times of India, the operation was launched following a tip-off, leading to the arrest of Ravi Sahu, a pharmacy operator in Barkhedi who was reportedly running the store under another person’s license. Authorities seized 210 psychotropic tablets from his possession.
Two other accused, identified as Vishal Bitore (24) of Govindpura and Anas Abdul (22) of Ambedkar Nagar, were also arrested. Both are repeat offenders with multiple criminal cases pending and are believed to have entered the drug trade after meeting in jail. Law enforcement recovered 150 psychotropic tablets each from their possession.
Police have registered a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and the Madhya Pradesh Drug Control Act, reports Times of India.
