New Delhi: The Department of Pharmaceuticals (DoP) has designated an official from the Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) India as the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to expedite the process of setting up the proposed Export Promotion Council for Medical Devices (EPC-MD).
This comes in wake of the Department of Commerce giving its approval for the creation of a separate Export Promotion Council for Medical Devices (EPC-MD) under the administrative control of Department of Pharmaceuticals (DoP) in order to drive the growth of exports of medical device sector. Accordingly, DoP has initiated necessary action towards establishing the EPC-MD.
