DoP Invites Applications for Young Professionals Across Key Divisions, Offers Rs 50,000 Monthly Pay

New Delhi: The Department of Pharmaceuticals (DoP), Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, has announced the engagement of Young Professionals (YPs) on a contractual basis across five major divisions, inviting applications under Advertisement No. 1/2025. The initiative aims to onboard young talent to support policy formulation, research, administrative activities, financial analysis and inter-ministerial coordination.
Applications must reach the Department - either through Speed Post, hand delivery or email - on or before 22 December 2025.
Candidates are required to submit the prescribed application form addressed to the Division Head and Director in charge of Establishment and Administration, Department of Pharmaceuticals, at Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi. Forms may also be emailed to the official Establishment Division address. The DoP has emphasised that YPs will be treated strictly as full-time consultants, and the engagement will not establish an employer–employee relationship of any kind.
The Pharmaceutical Policy Division and International Cooperation Division each require two Young Professionals, while three positions have been announced for the Medical Device Division. The Integrated Finance Division has one vacancy, and the Coordination & Parliament Division has two. Although candidates will be placed in specified divisions, the Department reserves the right to deploy them across any unit based on organizational necessities.
Division-wise responsibilities include support in policy research, preparation of background notes, briefs and talking points, drafting proposals, coordinating with industry associations, ministries and State Governments, managing correspondence, preparing meeting minutes, record-keeping, analysing domestic and international trade data, monitoring official portals and providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial support. In the Integrated Finance Division, duties also extend to budget planning, expenditure monitoring, financial appraisal of proposals, preparation of budget estimates, analysis of expenditure trends and maintenance of financial databases. The Coordination & Parliament Division additionally requires tracking inter-departmental references, ensuring timely follow-ups, preparing action-taken reports and assisting with parliamentary matters.
Applicants must hold a graduate degree from a recognized university and must be below 32 years of age on the date of publication. The monthly remuneration has been fixed at ₹50,000, with annual increments of 5% in the second and third years and 10% thereafter, subject to satisfactory performance. No application fee is applicable. The application form requires personal details, educational qualifications, employment history, publications, references, information on past convictions (if any), and a declaration of authenticity, along with a recent passport-size photograph.
The recruitment drive presents a significant opportunity for young graduates to contribute to national pharmaceutical policy and administrative functions at the central government level.
