Dr Reddy's CEO API and Services Deepak Sapra Resigns After 23-Year Stint
Hyderabad: Deepak Sapra has resigned from his position as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), API and Services, and as Senior Management Personnel of Dr Reddy's Laboratories Limited, with his resignation taking effect at the close of business hours on November 12, 2026.
The company disclosed the development on August 13, 2026, pursuant to Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
According to the company, Sapra has resigned to pursue opportunities outside the company. He will cease to be in employment with Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories and will also cease to be part of its Senior Management Personnel from the close of business hours on November 12, 2026.
The company has specified November 12, 2026 as the date of cessation. The disclosure, issued under the applicable SEBI Listing Regulations and the SEBI circular dated January 30, 2026, states that no brief profile is applicable as the disclosure relates to a resignation rather than an appointment. The disclosure of relationships between directors has also been marked as not applicable.
In his resignation letter dated August 13, 2026, Sapra formally communicated his decision to resign from his position as CEO, API and Services, and as a Key Senior Management Personnel at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, to pursue opportunities outside the organisation. He stated that he would remain with the organisation until November 12, 2026.
Sapra also stated that he would continue supporting the organisation during the transition period and ensure a smooth transition and handover of his responsibilities before his departure.
Expressing his appreciation to the organisation, Sapra said he was thankful for the learning, guidance and support he received during his tenure. He noted that he had spent more than 23 years with Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, during which he had the opportunity to contribute across various roles, responsibilities and geographies within the organisation.

Sapra's departure follows a tenure of more than two decades with Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories.
