Luxury Cars for Employees: This Pharma Firm's Diwali Giveaway Goes Viral

Chandigarh: A Chandigarh-based pharmaceutical company created a buzz ahead of Diwali by gifting 51 brand-new luxury cars and SUVs to its top performing employees. The gesture, by MITS Healthcare (part of MITS Group) and its founder-chairman MK Bhatia, quickly went viral across social media platforms.
According to various media reports, most of the vehicles gifted were SUVs, including models such as the Kia Sonet.
The handover took place during a “car-gift rally” from the company’s showroom to its office, where Bhatia personally distributed keys to the recipients.
In a statement posted online, Bhatia described his employees as “rockstar celebrities” of the business and expressed that recognising their hard work and dedication was his goal. ‘‘My associates are the backbone of my pharmaceutical companies. Their hard work, honesty, and dedication are the foundation of our success,’’ he said.
Bhatia presented 51 brand-new cars to his top-performing team members this week, marking what he fondly described as his “half-century” of gifting, reports PTI.

When questioned about the motivation behind these extravagant annual gifts, Bhatia told the Economic Times that his employees are the backbone of his pharmaceutical business. He praised their honesty, dedication, and tireless efforts as key drivers of Mits Healthcare’s success. He added that the aim of offering such lavish rewards was not only to acknowledge performance but also to motivate and inspire his team to achieve greater milestones.
For several internet users, the lavish gesture stirred admiration as well as incredulity. “Microbiology ki degree hai mere pass?? Koi scope hai kyaa company join karne kaa? Just give me a telescope, not even a car," one of the comments read.
According to a recent media report in the Financial Express, this marks the third consecutive Diwali that Bhatia has awarded expensive gifts to his staff, according to his LinkedIn post.
