Mankind Pharma gives 21 lakh to kins of police personnel who died of COVID
Kakinada: East Godavari SP Ravindranath Babu has handed over cheques of Rs. 3 lakh each to families of the police personnel, who died of Covid while performing duties as the Covid front line warriors, at a function held at the district police office here on Monday .
A total of seven widows of police personnel had received the cheques from the SP over a video conference held by the DGP Goutham Sawang .
During the video conference attended by all the SPs, the DGP said that a total of 186 police personnel state wide lost their lives while performing duties as Covid warriors . He thanked the Mankind pharma for the gesture towards the families of these covid front line warriors by donating Rs. 5.70 crores .
The DGP has thanked the Mankind pharma representative Juneja for the gesture. On behalf the DGP, SP Ravindranath Babu has handed over the cheques to seven widows of the police personnel.
The widows of the police personnel have thanked the SP for arranging the assistance and extending all out help for their speedy rehabilitation. Additional SP administration Karanam Kumar was also present.
