Pharma plant accident claims two lives, 1 critical
Parawada: Two workers lost their lives in a tragic accident at the effluent treatment plant of SS Pharma, located in Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma City, in the early hours of Thursday, police said.
The incident occurred around 1 a.m., according to Parawada Sub-Divisional Police Officer Vishnu Swaroop.
“Three workers were hospitalised, out of whom two succumbed while another worker is in a critical state....,” he told PTI, adding that police were alerted to the incident at around 3 a.m.
The exact cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained as police are awaiting the reports of the Pollution Control Board (PCB) and the inspector of factories.
Police have registered a case.
