Shilpa Biologicals Pays Rs 9 Crore to Settle Commercial Dispute with Sartorius India
New Delhi: Shilpa Medicare Limited has informed the stock exchanges that its material subsidiary, Shilpa Biologicals Pvt. Ltd., has entered into a settlement agreement with Sartorius Stedim India Pvt. Ltd. in connection with a commercial dispute pending before the Hon'ble XI Additional City Civil and Sessions Court, Commercial Court, Bengaluru.
The company disclosed the development under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, stating that the settlement agreement was executed on June 23, 2026 in Commercial O.S. No. 153/2024.
According to the filing, Shilpa Biologicals Pvt. Ltd. has agreed to pay Rs 9 crore to Sartorius Stedim India Pvt. Ltd. as part of the amicable settlement reached between the two parties. The company stated that the settlement amount has been paid by Shilpa Biologicals to Sartorius Stedim India.
Shilpa Medicare further informed that Sartorius Stedim India Pvt. Ltd. had originally claimed Rs 20,13,47,308 along with the applicable rate of interest. However, following mutual discussions, both parties negotiated and executed a settlement agreement for Rs 9 crore, resolving the dispute before the Commercial Court.
In the annexure to the filing, the company stated that the settlement agreement was signed before the Hon'ble XI Additional City Civil and Sessions Court, Commercial Court, Bengaluru, and that the date of signing the agreement was June 23, 2026.
The company also clarified that no violation or contravention has been reported in relation to the matter. Regarding the financial implications, Shilpa Medicare stated that the impact on the company will be limited to the settlement amount of Rs 9 crore.
According to the regulatory filing submitted by Shilpa Medicare to the BSE and NSE, the commercial dispute involving its subsidiary Shilpa Biologicals Pvt. Ltd. and Sartorius Stedim India Pvt. Ltd. has been amicably settled through a Rs 9 crore agreement executed before the Bengaluru Commercial Court, against an original claim of Rs 20.13 crore plus applicable interest.
