Sun Pharma Sets Up Wholly-Owned Subsidiary Sun Pharma America in US

New Delhi: Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited has announced the incorporation of a new wholly-owned subsidiary, Sun Pharma America, Inc., in the United States on April 23, 2026.

According to the company’s filing, the newly established entity will operate in the pharmaceutical sector and has been formed as part of internal group structuring. Since it is a newly incorporated subsidiary, the transaction does not fall under related party transactions, and no promoter or group company has any prior interest in the entity.

The company clarified that no regulatory approvals were required for this incorporation, and the initial capital has been infused in cash. Sun Pharma will hold 100% shareholding in the subsidiary, ensuring complete control over its operations.

As the entity has just been set up, details such as turnover history, operational background, and acquisition cost are not applicable. The move is seen as part of Sun Pharma’s broader strategy to streamline its global structure and strengthen its presence in the U.S. pharmaceutical market.
