Thyrocare inaugurates Regional Processing Lab in Ahmedabad
The new Regional Processing Lab at Ahmedabad has a capacity to process 3000 samples in a day.
Ahmedabad: Thyrocare has recently opened its Regional Processing Lab (RPL) in Ahmedabad, India's first World Heritage City. The lab located at Commerce Six Complex, Navrangpura is Thyrocare's 18th RPL in the country and augments its network of regional reference labs providing high volume routine and specialty testing to diagnostic centres and other healthcare facilities like nursing homes and hospitals.
The RPL is equipped with 24/7 unidirectional sample processing systems and an automated effluent treatment plant for the safe disposal of biomedical wastes with processing for a wide variety of tests.
The Regional Processing Lab was inaugurated by Dr Dilip Gadhavi, President, Ahmedabad Medical Association.
Dr. Caesar Sengupta, Vice President – Operations, Thyrocare Technologies Ltd. said, "The launch of the Regional Processing Lab in Ahmedabad is part of our strategy to create a network of reference laboratories that will ensure unmatched speed and accuracy with a quick turnaround time for diagnostic tests. The new RPL will provide a wide range of diagnostics services to labs, patients, doctors, and hospitals in Ahmedabad as well as the state of Gujarat. With an extensive network of a Centralised Processing Laboratory in Navi Mumbai for specialized tests, three Zonal Processing Laboratories in Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata for advanced tests and Regional Processing Laboratories across India for routine tests, Thyrocare is today well poised to serve its stakeholders with the best of science and technology."
The new Regional Processing Lab at Ahmedabad is spread over an area of 3000 sq feet and has a capacity to process 3000 samples in a day. With advanced 24/7 unidirectional sample processing systems and automatic treatment plants, the Regional Processing Lab is equipped to perform an extensive variety of tests with automated technologies such as Photometry, Haematology, Immunoassay and HPLC as well as manual Urology and ELISA.
