B.Pharm Student Found Hanging in Bengaluru PG, Police Probe Underway
Bengaluru: A routine afternoon turned tragic in Bengaluru when a 19-year-old B.Pharm student was found dead inside her paying-guest (PG) accommodation in Soladevanahalli, prompting an immediate police inquiry and renewed concerns about student safety.
The deceased, Vatsala KR from Hassan, was pursuing her pharmacy course at a private college on Hesaraghatta Road. Her roommates discovered her hanging in her room after returning to the PG and quickly informed the management, who then alerted the police.
Investigators did not find any suicide note at the scene. Police have seized Vatsala’s mobile phone for forensic analysis and are speaking with her friends, classmates and PG residents to assess whether she was facing personal, academic or emotional distress in the days leading up to her death.
A case of unnatural death has been registered, with officers stating that every possible angle is being examined. The cause of death will be confirmed after the post-mortem report and review of digital evidence, reports The Hindu.
