NBE invites applications for Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test, GPAT 2026, Exam on March 7, 2026

New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has invited applications for the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) 2026.
The GPAT 2026 is a national-level entrance examination for pharmacy graduates seeking admission to postgraduate pharmacy programmes. The GPAT 2026 will be conducted on March 7, 2026, in computer-based mode at examination centres across the country.
According to the notice issued by the NBEMS in this regard, the Information Bulletin containing details on eligibility criteria, fee structure, examination scheme, and other instructions will be made available on the NBEMS website from today, i.e. December 23, 2025, at 5:00 PM onwards. Along with this, the online application window will also open simultaneously and remain active until January 12, 2026 (11:55 PM).
Through the notice, NBEMS has further stated that the results of GPAT 2026 are expected to be declared by April 7, 2026. Candidates aspiring to appear for the examination are advised to complete the registration process within the stipulated timeline to avoid last-minute technical issues.
The GPAT is a key qualifying examination for candidates seeking entry into MPharm programmes and for those aspiring to secure scholarships and fellowships in the pharmacy sector. NBEMS has advised applicants to carefully go through the Information Bulletin before filling out the application form.

Meanwhile, last month, Medical Dialogues had reported that the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, had announced the disbursement of the Pradhan Mantri Scholarship for Pharmacy Post Graduate Studies (GPAT-PG Scholarship/PMSSPPS) for GPAT-qualified students enrolled in M.Pharm programmes across approved institutions.
According to the circular issued in this regard, the PCI awards the scholarship of ₹12,400 per month to eligible GPAT-qualified candidates admitted to AICTE/PCI-approved postgraduate pharmacy institutions.
