NBE to conduct GPAT on May 25, Registrations Begin April 1

New Delhi- The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is going to release the information bulletin of the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT 2025) on its official website. The registration for GPAT 2025 will start on April 1, 2025.
In February 2025, NBEMS announced the GPAT 2025 exam date. Therefore, as per the schedule, the pharmacy entrance exam will be held on May 25, and the last date for GPAT registration 2025 is April 21, 2025.
Meanwhile, applicants from the General, OBC, and EWS categories will have to pay Rs 3,500 as a registration fee, while SC, ST, and PWD candidates will have to pay Rs 2,500.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Candidates need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria to be considered eligible to sit for the GPAT entrance exam-
1 Applicant should be an Indian citizen.
2 Should have completed a 4-year bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy after Class 12, including later entry students, from a recognised university.
3 Candidates appearing for the final year or 4th year exam will also be eligible.
4 BE, BTech Pharmaceutical and Fine Chemical Technology or equivalent candidates are not eligible.
The GPAT question paper will have 125 questions of 500 marks. A total of 38 questions will be asked from Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Allied Subjects and Pharmaceutics and Allied Subjects, and Pharmaceutics and Allied Subjects. 28 questions will be asked from Pharmacology, 10 from Pharmacognosy and 11 from other subjects of B.Pharma.
The GPAT exam is conducted to grant admission to MPharm courses and provide scholarships to eligible candidates. The GPAT is a national-level exam that was first conducted in 2010 by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) as per the instructions of the Ministry of Education. However, from 2019 to 2023, the National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the entrance exam.
