Pharmacy Recruitment in Bihar Stalled: Union Demands Immediate Action on Pending Document Verification
Patna: Expressing strong concern over the prolonged delay in the recruitment process, the Diploma Pharmacist Organization has urged the Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC) to complete the verification of documents for pharmacist appointments without any further delay. The union has demanded that the pending verification process for 2,473 pharmacist posts be expedited immediately to avoid jeopardizing the careers of thousands of aspirants.
According to the organization, candidates have been waiting for months after completing all necessary application steps, yet the document verification has not been scheduled. The union stated that this prolonged inaction has created widespread uncertainty among pharmacy graduates who are eager to join government health services.
The recruitment drive, which was announced to address the shortage of pharmacists in government hospitals and health centers across Bihar, has faced repeated administrative hurdles. Sources indicate that the delay may be due to a backlog in documentation, limited staff availability, and logistical challenges in managing a large number of applicants.
The union emphasized that further delays could severely impact the healthcare delivery system in Bihar, especially in rural and district hospitals where the shortage of pharmacists continues to hinder essential services. It appealed to BTSC to announce a clear schedule for verification and ensure transparency throughout the process so that no eligible candidate suffers due to bureaucratic delays.

They urged the authorities to act swiftly, stating that completing verification at the earliest would restore confidence among candidates and help the government meet its staffing commitments in the health sector.
