Nightingales Home Health Services to tie up with Davita for Dialysis at home
Nightingales Home Health Services, the banglore based specialty home healthcare services in chronic diseases has tied up with US’s leading dialysis service provider DaVita Kidney Care to provide home dialysis. The companies through their tie- up plan to launch pre and post dialysis continuum of care and the home hemodialysis for patients of End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) with the entire setup of dialysis being installed at the patient’s home.
Chronic Kidney Disease is one of the leading cause of mortality and morbidity in the world after CVD and stroke in India. Every year India adds more than 3 lakh new people who require some form or Renal Replacement Therapy. Bangalore alone has close to 4,000 patients on Hemodialysis however less than 100 patients in India are currently on Home Hemodialysis (HHD). With the rising need for hemodialysis and an increasing demand for Home Hemodialysis, this partnership is another significant step towards the rise of specialty home healthcare services in India. DaVita has a team of 46000 doctors, dialysis therapists, nurses and other staff worldwide and 300 in India.
Under this partnership, Nightingales would provide a specialized Nephro care plan which will include screening of patients for kidney related medical issue, initial clinical assessment, nursing care for pre and post dialysis continuum of care, dietary consultation, diagnostics and physical therapy. In addition for the Home Hemodialysis program DaVita would be responsible for the infrastructure setup including Dialysis Machine, Reverse Osmosis Ultrafiltration Water Plant, Consumables, etc. The company plans to use technology to monitor patients on a real-time basis, check for alarms and use video-conferencing for patient interactions. Nephrologists associated with DaVita will also be available for home consultation for chronic patients with end stage renal disease
