Patna Medical Staff Woman Dies After Alleged Assault by Spouse
Patna: In a shocking incident, a 30-year-old head nurse at Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) was allegedly beaten to death by her husband at their residence in Shriram Nagar on East Gola Road, under the jurisdiction of Danapur police station area.
Her body was reportedly found lying on the floor of their home. The husband has since been arrested in connection with the incident.

Police reports stated that the nurse sustained multiple injuries, including a slap causing ear bleeding, signs of strangulation, and a blow to the chest, which led to her death. Following the incident, the accused reportedly took their two-year-old son to his native place before returning to Danapur and calling the police emergency helpline around 2 a.m. on Saturday.
Speaking to TOI, Danapur SHO Prashant Kumar Bhardwaj said the body was sent for post-mortem, and the FSL team collected evidence from the spot. “Further action will be taken based on the investigation. The victim’s maternal family members have lodged a written complaint,” he said. He added that the accused confessed to the crime. “Prima facie, it appears she was beaten to death. There are multiple bruises on her body, especially on her back. The exact cause of death will be confirmed after the post-mortem and FSL reports,” the SHO said.
The deceased’s sister alleged that the accused had lost approximately Rs 400,000 in an online game, which had been given to him by his wife. She also claimed that the nurse had recently purchased a piece of land and had shown it to her husband on Friday afternoon, and that her in-laws frequently pressured her for money. The deceased’s brother-in-law said he received a call from the accused around 2 am informing him of the killing. By the time family members reached the house, police were already present, reports Patna Press.
