Oops: Searching for his room, Drunk Doctor enters police station thinking it to be hotel, booked

Dehradun: Influence of alcohol can indeed make people do strange things. Many a times people begin hallucinating and forget where they actually are. A strange case of such a kind was recently reported from the area when a doctor entered a police station thinking it to be a hotel and began fighting with the police when he could not locate his "room in the hotel'
A case has been registered against a doctor after he created commotion in the local police station
TOI reports about this blunder made by a medical college doctor who lost all his senses in his drunken state.According to the media report, the doctor working at Srinagar Garhwal medical college was in the city staying in a hotel room. He was high on alcohol when he entered the police station and started looking for his hotel room. When the police informed him that he has entered the police station instead of his hotel room, he started abusing and misbehaving with the staff. When the police could not control his behaviour, a case was registered against him and his SUV car was seized. However, this created further trouble as the doctor refused to leave the place without the SUV.

The station house officer of Kotwali Srinagar, NS Bisht told the TOI, "The doctor entered the police station premises and started looking for his room. When we told him that it is a station and not his hotel, he started abusing and misbehaving with the staff on duty. When we registered a case and seized his SUV, he sat there the entire night demanding that his car be released without any legal action."
The information regarding the incident reached to the medical college principal Dr Chandra Mohan Rawat. He confirmed that appropriate action will be taken against the doctor when he will come back to the town.
"We will set up a committee to investigate the matter and take necessary action against the doctor if he is found guilty," Dr Rawat added.
The same doctor, last year was caught for drunk driving.
