OPD in Rae Bareli AIIMS to commence from July
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed the concerned officials to speed up the work at AIIMS Rae Bareli so that the OPD department could start functioning from as early as July 2018, while the full-fledged Medical College begins operating from September 2019.
"We are committed to providing better medical facilities to the people of the Rae Bareli and for this AIIMS should start at the earliest," he said.
The CM was reviewing the progress of the AIIMS, Rae Bareli here.
During the presentation made before the CM, the officials said in the first phase work for the hostel, residential and temporary OPD work was in advance stage and it will be completed by July next.
In the second phase, there would be a 600-bed hospital along with 100 MBBS capacity academic block.
