Second Victory for Aurobindo Pharma: USFDA approves its Azithromycin
It’s a good day or Aurobindo Pharma today. The USFDA has not only approved its Parkinson's disease treatment drug Entacapone, but also given its final approval to make and market its antibiotic of Azithromycin.
The approval for Azithromycin comes for an injection of 500mg per vial, which is generic equivalent of Pfizer's Zithromax injection, an antibacterial drug indicated for the treatment of patients with community-acquired pneumonia and pelvic inflammatory disease, the company said.
