Senior Radiologist, family brutally murdered in Faridabad, key suspect at large
New Delhi: In a shocking incident, 60-year-old radiologist and his family consisting of wife (61), 30 year old daughter and son-in-law were brutally murdered inside their house in Faridabad’s Sector 7A.
While the motive behind the brutal murders is still now known, the key suspect, identified as a gym trainer Mukesh Kumar whose scooter was identified through the CCTV footage outside the house remains still at large.
The heinous crime was discovered by the neighbours of the deceased radiologist Dr Praveen Mediratta observed no activity outside the doctor's house, where he also ran his diagnostic centre. The door was open, TV was loud and their dog was constantly barking. Suspicious, the neighbours informed the police, who found that the doctor and his family, all had been brutally stabbed and were found lying in a pool of blood. The doctor's son who worked in an MNC was not in the house when the crime took place.
The key suspect has been identified as a gym trainer, one Mukesh Kumar who knew the son of the doctor and whose vehicle was identified though the CCTV footage. The police raided his house when he did not turn up for questioning where they recovered the blood-stained weapons as well as a confession note.
“We recovered a note from the suspect’s house in which he has written that he had visited the family with the intention of robbing them but ended up killing them. We are not convinced that the suspect is speaking the truth in the letter as the house and all cupboards were intact; there was no sign of forced entry or robbery either,” the ACP Faridabad branch told Hindustan Times
The police is still out on the hunt of the key accused. Police said they are also probing if close relatives had any role to play.
