Bihar trains homoeopathy practitioners on standard treatment guidelines for musculoskeletal disorders

Patna: The Bihar State AYUSH Committee recently conducted a two-day residential training programme for homoeopathic doctors to improve the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders.
The training programme was conducted in three phases for different systems of AYUSH medicine. Ayurvedic doctors underwent training on September 8 and 9, followed by Unani doctors on September 10 and 11. The final phase for homoeopathic doctors was held on September 15 and 16.
The programme was organised by the State Ayush Committee in collaboration with the National Ayush Mission under the Union Ministry of Ayush. TOI reported that doctors from all districts participated in the training.
The doctors were trained on the identification and assessment of musculoskeletal disorders and treatment based on Standard Treatment Guidelines (STGs). The programme also covers updated treatment methods and appropriate referral procedures.
Commenting on this, Vaibhav Chaudhary, executive director, State Ayush Committee, Bihar told TOI, "The objective is not only to provide doctors with updated knowledge but also to ensure that its benefits reached patients."
The committee will conduct field visits across all districts after the training to assess whether the guidelines and treatment practices discussed during the programme are being followed.
It will also collect feedback from patients and the public to understand whether the guidelines are being implemented effectively and whether the training is helping improve patient care.
Administrative Officer Md Shafique said the programme is also providing doctors from different districts an opportunity to share their practical experiences during the training.
"Experts are providing them with information on newer and updated treatment approaches to improve patient care in their respective districts," he said.
