Management of Home Isolation Patients: Goa Govt to induct Multi-Purpose Health Workers, Auxiliary Nursing Midwives
Goa Health Minister, Vishwajit Rane said once the patient was registered under home isolation, the respective MPHW/ANM would reach out to the patient, guide them, and address their concerns.
Panaji: Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane on Tuesday announced that Multi-Purpose Health Workers (MPHWs) and Auxiliary Nursing Midwives (ANMs) would be inducted and posted at Public Health Centres (PHC), Community Health Centres (CHS) and Urban Health Centres (UHC) to reach out to the patients under home isolation.
In a tweet, ''Had a detailed meeting to discuss management of Home Isolation patients. We have jointly decided to induct Multi Purpose Health Worker (MPHW) and Auxiliary Nursing Midwives (ANMs) who will be posted round the clock at every PHC, CHC & UHC to reach out to the patients under Home isolation.''

Training would be organised for MPHW and ANMs along with health officers to impart crucial knowledge on the usage of the kit, he said, adding the kit would comprise of Digital Thermometer, Oxymeter, Spirometer, Hand Sanitizer, N95 Mask, Gloves, Vitamin C & D tablet & HCQ tablets.
He said once the patient was registered under home isolation, the respective MPHW/ANM would reach out to the patient, guide them on the use of the kit at their disposal to monitor their saturation levels, health condition and address other concerns.
