Physiotherapy Student Linked to Rohtak MBBS Exam Scam, Allegedly Made Rs 86 Lakh

Rohtak- The name of a Bachelor of Physiotherapy student has surfaced in connection with the MBBS exam scam that came to light at Pandit BD Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak (UHSR). The MBBS scam allegedly involved getting pass marks for MBBS students through fraudulent means in exchange for money.
The Bachelor of Physiotherapy student is accused of making over Rs 86 lakh by manipulating exam award lists to help MBBS students of a private college pass. The alleged involvement of a student from another course indicates that the scam is not just limited to the MBBS exam but could potentially extend to other exams as well.
This was revealed by one of the three main accused during police interrogation. The accused revealed that a deal was struck with the students for Rs 2 lakh per candidate to get three candidates of the 2021 batch passed through the "direct system". With this, all three passed the exam. On this, the accused claimed that "I gave him Rs 4.05 lakh and kept Rs 1.95 lakh with me."
Moreover, the accused struck another deal with the physiotherapy student to get some candidates of the 2020 batch passed using the direct system. According to a report by Tribune Media, the accused revealed during police interrogation that "In another deal, I collected a total of Rs 1 crore from some MBBS students of the 2021 and 2022 batches to get them passed. We then divided the amount equally."
Medical Dialogues earlier reported that the Rohtak police arrested two more employees of Pandit BD Sharma University of Health Sciences (UHSR). The accused have been identified as programmer Jitender and clerk Sonu, who allegedly leaked MBBS question papers on three occasions in May 2024 in exchange for money.
