JnK: Govt Ayurvedic College gets 63 BAMS seats for 2020-21 session
"It has been decided by the Central Government to grant Conditional Permission to Government Ayurvedic Medical College, Akhnoor, Indira Chowk, Jammu, for conducting 63 seats (including EWS) in UG (RAMS) course for the academic session 2020 to 2021 under Section 13C/13A of the 1MCC Act, 1970," read the letter.
Jammu: The Jammu based Ayurvedic College have been permitted with 63 seats in UG Bachelors in Ayurvedic and Medical Surgery (BAMS) by the Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH).
As per the letter issued by the Under Secretary to Government of India, Ministry of AYUSH, said that in terms of Regulation 3 of the 'Indian Medicine Central Council (Requirements of Minimum Standard for under-graduate Ayurveda Colleges and attached Hospitals) Regulations, 2016', provisions under the IMCC Act, 1970, it is found that the College is fulfilling notified and approved criterion for granting Conditional Permission for UG (BAMS) course.

However, it is further informed that a minimum of 15 percent of undergraduate of the permitted intake capacity of 63 UG (BAMS) seats shall be treated as all India quota.
