Medicos move JnK govt, university seeking clarification on MBBS final year exams datesheet

New Delhi: Medicos have approached the Government of Jammu and Kashmir and the University of Jammu, seeking urgent clarification on the publication of the MBBS Final Year examination datesheet for the 2021 batch.
Through the representation, Democratic Medical Association (DMA India) a national body representing medical students and doctors across the country, has addressed the Hon’ble Health Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Jammu, and the Controller of Examinations, highlighting the growing uncertainty among final-year MBBS students due to the non-release of the examination schedule.
According to the association, MBBS Final Year examination(Batch-2021) consists of multiple major clinical subjects with a vast and extensive syllabus.Timely publication of the examination datesheet is essential for Batch 2021 students to plan their preparation, clinical postings, revisions, and academic commitments in a systematic and effective manner
It was pointed out the absence of a confirmed examination schedule has led to stress and confusion among students, who are currently at a critical stage of their medical education.
“At present, due to the non-publication of the MBBS Final Year examination datesheet, students are facing significant uncertainty and difficulty in organising their study schedules. This lack of clarity is causing unnecessary academic stress among final year students, who are at a crucial stage of their medical education”, the association stated.
In its appeal, DMA India has requested the concerned authorities to expedite the process and inform students about the expected date of release of the MBBS Final Year (Batch 2021) examination datesheet. The association stressed that such a step would be in the larger academic interest and mental well-being of medical students.
