MGM Medical College Hospital to provide advanced cancer, heart treatment
Jamshedpur: The MGM Medical College, located at Dimna Chowk, is poised to transform healthcare services in the area with its upcoming project of an advanced hospital geared towards treating heart and cancer ailments.
The long-awaited hospital at MGM Medical College is in its final construction phase and it is supposed to be operational by November.
This establishment holds the promise of ushering in a new era of healthcare, providing specialized treatment options and modern medical equipment. Dr SK Singh, the Education Director of the Health Department, travelled from Ranchi to personally supervise the ongoing construction progress.
After conducting a detailed inspection, Dr Singh meticulously reviewed the construction site, pinpointing any deficiencies and giving directives for their correction to ensure the hospital would be all set to overcome all upcoming assessments. Following the inspection, a meeting was convened with MGM Principal Dr KN Singh, Superintendent Dr Ravindra Kumar, Deputy Superintendent Dr Nakul Prasad Chaudhary, and department heads to deliberate on future strategies and arrangements.
According to Town Post, Dr Singh highlighted the necessity of thorough preparations for the impending visit of the Principal Secretary of the Health Department on June 10. He emphasized the requirement for officials to be present to handle any queries during the inspection and guarantee the smooth advancement of the project. Though there is a marked advancement in the construction work, Dr SK Singh observed that about 25 per cent of the work remains outstanding, with a focused effort on completing the electrical and water supply systems, vital components of the hospital's infrastructure.
"We are working diligently to ensure that the hospital meets the highest standards of healthcare infrastructure," stated an official. "The visit of the Principal Secretary will be a crucial milestone in our journey towards providing world-class medical services to the community."
The college administration has hastened the tendering process for water supply to ensure the timely completion of these vital amenities. The upcoming hospital, spanning seven floors, will include separate divisions for emergency services, outpatient departments (OPD), and wards. A dedicated reception area will welcome patients and visitors, while the entire facility will benefit from centralized air conditioning for utmost comfort, reports The Daily.
Boasting a total of 623 beds, among them a 123-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), the hospital will possess the capacity to accommodate a substantial volume of patients. Featuring 21 operational departments, the hospital will offer a comprehensive array of medical services across various disciplines. Notably, the facility will provide specialized care for heart and cancer conditions, addressing the escalating demand for advanced treatment in these critical fields.
As the final construction phases unfold, the MGM Medical College hospital stands to emerge as a beacon of healthcare excellence in the vicinity, delivering accessible, top-notch medical services to people.
