Nine medical colleges in Tami Nadu get new principals
Kerala - 9 medical colleges of Kerala have new principals as the Health Minister KK Shailaja last week made a release announcing the appointment of new principals in various medical colleges of the state. The colleges, getting the new principals include Thiruvananthapuram Medical College, Kollam medical college, Kannur medical college, Alappuzha Medical College, Kottayam Medical College, Konni medical college, Idukki Medical College and so on. Among all the new recruits three were transfer cases while the rest of the six were promoted to be the principal. The new recruitments include:

• At Thiruvananthapuram Medical College, Dr. Sarah Varghese is going to be appointed as the principal after the retirement of existing principal Dr. Ajay Kumar. Dr. Sarah Varghese, a Specialist in Endocrinology, is currently working at Kollam Medical College.
• The new principal of Kollam medical college will be doctor Ravi Kumar. He is, for now, serving as the head of the department of medicine at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College.
• According to TOI, Dr. G S Harikumaran Nair, currently serving as the Dean of Kerala University, will be appointed as the officer in the medical education department. He previously worked at Govt. T D Medical College Alappuzha as the professor of radiology.
• Moreover, Dr. K M Kuriakose currently working at the position of a cardiovascular thoracic surgery professor at Kozhikode Medical College now, but he will be serving as the new principal of Kannur medical college.
• Dr. Vijayalakshmi has been assigned as the new principal of Alappuzha Medical College, but he is currently working as a psychology Professor at Thrissur medical college.
• Doctor P P Mohanan has been appointed as the principal of Kottayam Medical College. He is currently serving as the principal of Idukki Medical College.
• Doctor N Roy has been assigned the duty of the head of the department of Ernakulam Medical College. He is at the moment at Kannauj Medical College as the principal.
• Dr. C S Vikraman who is at present appointed as an orthopedic professor at Kollam Medical College is going to be the new principal of Konni medical college.
• Dr. V Satheesh will be assigned the position of the principal of Idukki Medical College. He was previously serving as a psychiatry professor at Kottayam Medical College.
