Unfortunate: MBBS Students die in car accident in Alappuzha
Alappuzha: In an unfortunate incident, five MBBS students were killed after the car they were travelling in collided with a KSRTC bus recently.
Speaking to PTI, the police officials informed that the deceased, who are reportedly MBBS students of a government medical college, have not been identified so far. The accident took place around 10 pm monday night near Kalarcode.
Seven persons were inside the car, and of these, five succumbed to the injuries, police added.

"Due to the impact of the collision, the car was destroyed completely, and the youths inside were taken out after breaking the vehicle," police sources said.
The passengers in the bus sustained minor injuries, they added.
Vehicular traffic on the road was thrown out of gear following the accident. The cause behind the accident is yet to be ascertained, police said.
Health minister Veena George identified the deceased in a Facebook post as Sreedeep from Palakkad, Muhi Abdulla Jabbar from Kannur, Devanandan from Malappuram, Aayish Shaji from Kuttanad and Ibrahim from Lakshadweep.
The bus was headed to Kayamkulam from Vyttila in Ernakulam. As per details available, the Chevrolet Tavera that was coming from the opposite direction collided with the bus while overtaking another vehicle. The students were taken out from the vehicle after breaking it open, reports TOI.
