1,045 seats available for FMG internship counselling across 34 institutes: MP medical council notifies guidelines for June 2026 allotment

The list covers 34 medical institutions offering Clinical Clerkship or Internship seats. Colleges have been categorised under government and private institutions, with seat status shown as either recognised or permitted.

Among the government medical colleges, many have 100 vacant internship seats. Several major government colleges show zero vacancies in the released list. Private medical colleges account for a substantial share of the available seats. Other institutions have a high number of vacancies. Below are the detailed vacancies-

The allotment will be important for FMGs seeking to complete the mandatory internship requirement before progressing with further registration and clinical practice. Candidates participating in the June 2026 allotment process should carefully review the institution-wise vacancy position before exercising their preferences.

Additionally, the Madhya Pradesh Medical Council (MPMC) has also issued detailed rules and guidelines for internship seat allotment of Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGs) for the June 2026 session, outlining the application process, eligibility conditions, counselling procedure, fee structure, merit criteria and reporting requirements.

The guidelines have been issued in reference to National Medical Commission directions relating to the Compulsory Rotatory Medical Internship (CRMI) Regulations, 2021 and the Foreign Medical Graduate Licentiate (FMGL) Regulations, 2021.

In light of this, the Madhya Pradesh Medical Council (MPMC) has issued the following guidelines-

An FMGE candidate who has passed the Screening Test (FMGE) has to submit an online application to MPMC. The application must be completed in all respects as well as accompanying documents stated in the application form should be uploaded.

DOCUMENTS

The list of required documents is as follows-

1 10th Marksheet.

2 Eligibility Certificate from NMC.

3 Degree of MBBS or Equivalent to MBBS.

4 FMGE Certificate/Screening Test Passing Certificate.

5 Original Affidavit - Format ‘A’ published on the portal.

6 MP State Domicile Certificate, wherever applicable.

Uploading fake documents may lead to cancellation of candidature.

REGISTRATION FEE

The registration fee for participating in the Clinical clerkship and/or internship seat allotment counselling is Rs. 5600/- inclusive of portal charges for MP domicile applicants and Rs. 8100/- inclusive of portal charges for non-domicile applicants, which is non-refundable under any circumstances.

CHOICE FILLING

Every candidate has to select all Colleges/ Institutes according to their order of preference in the choice-filling section. Candidates will have to pay Rs. 100/- compulsorily for locking the choices. If any candidate has not selected a preference for any of the mentioned colleges in the published list available on the portal, in the choice-filling section, then the candidate is not eligible for the allotment.

ALLOTMENT PROCESS

1 The seats will be allotted to candidates whose names appear in the merit list prepared on the basis of FMGE Score published on the portal.

2 Allotment of seats shall be made on the basis of merit cum choice filled by the candidate and availability of seats.

3 Preference in allotment will be given to domicile candidates only when no domicile candidate is available in the domicile merit; then only non-domicile candidates shall be considered for allotment against remaining available seats as per the merit cum choice.

Candidates who took admission after allotment in previous sessions will not be allowed to participate.

MERIT LIST

Madhya Pradesh Medical Council shall prepare the merit list considering the NMC earlier circular, and the same will be published on the website of Madhya Pradesh Medical Council. The merit list will be established according to the FMGE score obtained by the candidate in the Screening Test. In the event of multiple candidates achieving the same score, the following criteria will be utilised to determine merit-

1 Date of birth, with preference given to the older candidate.

2 Candidate who applied on the earlier date and time.

STIPEND

The amount of stipend to be paid to the interns is to be decided/fixed by the appropriate authority and is solely at the discretion of the concerned authorities under which the medical college/institute is located. The Madhya Pradesh Medical Council holds no responsibility for this decision or its outcome.

After completion of CRMI, the allotted college/ institute will have to provide the internship ongoing certificate and completion certificate to the candidate.

The allotted college will be provided with login credentials, with which they will generate admission slips of eligible candidates, and shall submit a report of the joining of the students who have been granted internship allotments in their college or institution to the Registrar, Madhya Pradesh Medical Council, Bhopal, within 10 days from the date of receipt of the online allotment letter through the portal.
