The notice was issued in response to a petition was filed by High Court advocate, Rameshwar Singh after some applicants complained about the issue.
The advertisement for the posts, for recruitment of 238 nurses in Gajraraja Medical College hospital and 172 nurses in Datia Medical College hospital were released, and the recruitment list was published thereafter.
As per reservation rules, the merit list should display the names of students beating the cut-off score. However, the petition claimed that the said medical colleges have prepared separate cutoffs for different categories.
Singh in his plea submitted, "These medical colleges violated reservation rules. Girls from SC/ST quota who figured in merit list were counted in reserved quota thereby leaving several other aspirants out of job."
He further added that the present recruitments cannot be made final unless a decision is taken by the court on the issue.
