As per reservation rules, the merit list should display the names of students beating the cut-off score. However, the petition claimed that the said medical colleges have prepared separate cutoffs for different categories.
Singh in his plea submitted, "These medical colleges violated reservation rules. Girls from SC/ST quota who figured in merit list were counted in reserved quota thereby leaving several other aspirants out of job."
He further added that the present recruitments cannot be made final unless a decision is taken by the court on the issue.
According to a recent media report in The Free Press Journal, The court has scheduled the next hearing for 26th October,
