GMC Patiala MBBS medico crushed to death by speeding truck
Patiala: In an unfortunate incident, an MBBS student died in a road accident after a speeding truck hit him and his head was crushed under the wheels of the vehicle near Dhablan village on Tuesday night.
The deceased was identified as a medical student of the Government Medical College (GMC Patiala) who was a resident of Bathinda.
The incident occurred when the victim and his father were driving home. When they reached Dhablan village, the father got out of the car for personal reasons. The victim also got out, but unfortunately, he was hit by a speeding truck, which crushed his head under its wheels.

Locals and his father immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital but the doctor declared him brought dead.
Later, the police were informed about the accident and a preliminary investigation was conducted. Based on the investigation, the police found that the driver was under the influence of alcohol when the accident happened, reports The Tribune.
After identifying the driver, the police arrested him under Section 304 of the Indian Penal Code for culpable homicide not amounting to murder. Further investigation is underway.
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported about two second-year MBBS students who had died while another was injured when their motorcycle crashed into a stationary truck on NH-52 in Jhalawar district.
The accident had taken place near Tiliyakhedi village in the Asnawar police station area around 4 a.m. when the trio was headed for a dhaba on the two-wheeler, local SHO Rajkumar Tyagi said. They were unable to see the truck as they were blinded by the headlights of an oncoming vehicle and had crashed the motorcycle.
