As per a latest media report by The New Indian Express, the constitutional body initiated action after becoming aware of the incident through a news report.
Medical Dialogues earlier reported that a 29-year-old female postgraduate student was found dead inside a restroom at a private hospital in Coimbatore. Her body was discovered by hospital staff inside one of the restrooms.
The student was in her first year of postgraduate studies in anesthesiology at PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research. She was also working as a doctor at the hospital.
The incident took place when the student went missing and her fellow students began searching for her. While doing so, they noticed that the washroom door was locked from the inside. After breaking the door, they found her lying unresponsive in the washroom early morning on Sunday.
It has been reported that she may have fainted due to breathing difficulties, but her father alleged that she never had any breathing-related issues, which raised suspicion regarding the circumstances of her death.
“The doctors who examined her said they were waiting for additional test results, which could take up to a month. They mentioned she may have fainted due to breathing difficulties,” said the victim’s father.
