According to the preliminary investigation, the student, who was driving the car, allegedly lost control of the vehicle while approaching the Karanodai flyover. The car crashed into the median and overturned, leaving all four students seriously injured. While two students died on the spot, the other two sustained injuries.
After receiving information about the accident, personnel from the Red Hills traffic investigation wing rushed to the spot and shifted the injured students to a hospital.
Following an investigation, the police sent the bodies of the deceased students to the Government Stanley Medical College Hospital, Chennai, for postmortem examination, TOI reports.
