TN Health postpones MBBS, BDS Counselling for NRI candidates, Details
Chennai: Through a recent notice, the Selection Committee Directorate of Medical Education (TN Health) has informed about the postponement of the date of counselling for NRI candidates seeking admission to MBBS/BDS Course 2020-2021 session.
All the concerned candidates who are seeking admission to MBBS/BDS Course 2020-2021 session under NRI Quota, are requested to view the said details mentioned below:

Note :-
 Candidates can download the call letters for counselling rom websites www.tnmedicalselection.org www.tnhealth.tn.gov.in and attend the counseling
 No Individual call letters will be sent.
 Candidates should be present one hour prior to commencement of counselling along with one of their parent at their own cost.
 Candidate should produce a Demand Draft payable at Chennai for Rs. 1000/- drawn in favor of "Secretary, Selection Committee, Chennai – 10." at the time of counselling as processing fee.
 The candidate should produce the following original certificates / documents without which the candidates will not be allowed to participate in the counselling.
1. NEET-UG 2020 Admit Card and Score card .
2. 10th Std Mark Sheet
3. HSC/Equivalent Mark Sheet
4. TRANSFER CERTIFICATE FROM THE SCHOOL LAST STUDIED.
 Since more number of candidates is being called for counselling, allotment is not guaranteed to everyone.
 Candidates are informed to read the instructions given in call letter carefully.
 Candidates can attend the counselling as per the date, time and mark mentioned in the schedule if they unable to download the call letter from the websites.
 The candidates who have joined in other than mbbs course should produce "bonafide certificate" from where they are studying at present.
 Since more number of candidates is being called for counselling, allotment is not guaranteed to everyone.

 The candidates who are selected at the time of counseling shall pay an amount of Rs.5,00,000/ -(Rupees five lakh only) as registration fee only by means of demand draft drawn in favour of "The secretary, selection committee, kilpauk, chennai – 10" payable at Chennai at the time of receipt of the allotment order.
 After the receipt of the joining report from the deans of the respective colleges this amount will be transferred to the colleges concerned. This fee is not refundable if the candidate does not join or discontinues the course. The candidates should produce the following original documents on the day of counseling for verification. If any one of the original documents is not produced, the candidate will be considered under Management Quota only.
1. NRI status of the financial supporter issued by the Indian Embassy of the respective country under their seal.
2. Ward certificate (Annexure II of the prospectus for admission to MBBS/BDS course 2020-2021 session under Management Quota).
3. NRE (Non Resident External) bank account passbook of the financial supporter.
4. Passport of the Parent/ Guardian
5. Passport of the candidate.
6. Original court order, if the financial supporter is legally declared as guardian of the candidate as per provisions in "The Guardians and Wards Act 1890" by the Court.
7. Eligibility certificate obtained from the Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai for the candidates of other Universities/Boards (Except Tamilnadu StateBoard).
 Candidates are informed to view the websites for vacancy position before counselling.
 Candidates shall only opt for the vacancies available at their turn.
 Mobile phones and other communication devices are not allowed in the counseling hall during their turn.
 Tentative vacancy position will be displayed in the official website:- www.tnhealth.tn.gov.in / www.tnmedicalselection.org.
