Telangana: The Telangana Medical Council has released an official notification inviting applications from Foreign Medical Graduates, FMGs, for internship counselling in the state.
As per the notification issued in this regard, the eligible candidates who have completed their MBBS abroad and cleared the FMGE screening test can apply for Compulsory Rotatory Medical Internship (CRMI) in Telangana.
According to the council, the application window will remain open till May 2, 2026 till 5:00 PM. Candidates are required to submit their applications along with the prescribed documents as mentioned in the notification. Additionally, applicants must provide detailed travel history, including visa entries and duration of stay in the foreign country.
The council has fixed a counselling fee of Rs 5,000, which must be paid through POS at the TMC. It has clearly stated that the fee is non-refundable and cash payments will not be accepted under any circumstances.
Applicants are instructed to scan and submit their documents in a single PDF format via email within 48 hours of application submission. However, the incomplete applications or those submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
The eligibility criteria regarding domicile and non-domicile status will be strictly followed as per the latest Supreme Court orders. The allotment of internship seats will depend on the number of vacancies available, as determined by the Director of Medical Education, Telangana.
The document checklist includes essential certificates such as an MBBS degree, an FMGE pass certificate, an MCI eligibility certificate, transcripts, an internship certificate (if applicable), passport copies, and study certificates, among others.
Meanwhile, the tentative date for counselling will be announced on the official website after scrutiny of applications. Candidates have been advised to carefully follow all instructions to avoid rejection of their applications.
