Community Health Centres with PICUs to open health ATMs: CM Yogi Adityanath
Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that all the Community Health Centers (CHCs) having Pediatric intensive care units (PICUs) would also have health ATMs. The CM gave the information while inaugurating pediatric intensive care units (PICU) at five community health centres.
Hindustan Urvarak Rasayan Ltd. established all five PICUs through its corporate environmental responsibility fund. According to the CM, the creation of PICUs in community health centres was a significant accomplishment and the facility would support the administration of 60 tests. He claimed that teleconsultations with medical professionals in major cities would also be feasible, reports Times of India.
CM previously inaugurated a Health ATM in the district of Gorakhpur in 2022. Health ATMs are touch-screen automated teller machine-sized machines that can screen vital parameters, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, body mass composition, blood glucose, oxygen saturation levels and ECG, without any paramedic assistance. Dr Swadeep Srivastava, the founder of HEAL Foundation, said "Health ATMs" are fitted with cutting-edge diagnostic equipment for basic vitals, cardiology, neurology, pulmonary tests, clinical diagnostic and life-saving equipment, and emergency services.
Dr Satyender Goel, founder and CEO of India Health Link (IHL), said, "Having received overwhelming responses from our Health ATMs installed in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand hospitals and at primary and community health centres, we have started making inroads by deploying these machines across the country." The award-winning 'Made in India' hPoD (Health ATM) with zero assistance automated vitals screening is a physical plus digital preventive healthcare ecosystem that will give a walk-in experience to the people who could get their key vitals screened, reports PTI.
The Yogi government has been taking several steps to improve the health services. All primary health centres (PHCs) and Community health centres of the state are going to be acooned to SGPGI and each district of Uttar Pradesh will have its own medical college, the Yogi government previously announced. In order to strengthen the health infrastructure of the state, the government will start 4,600 health ATMs in all wellness centers and medical colleges in every district
