NEET Counselling 2020: UP DGME notifies on resignation of MBBS seats allotted in Round 1

Lucknow: Through a recent notice, the Directorate General of Medical Education Uttar Pradesh (UP DGME) has informed about the resignation procedure for candidates who intend to resign from their MBBS seats allotted during the Rouns 1 of NEET Counselling 2020 session.

All the concerned MBBS candidates are hereby informed that as per the policy decision taken in the government order dated 29 October 2020 as well as in brochure of UP Neet 2020, those candidates who have been admitted at any seat in first round of counseling, if want to resign from their seat can resign till 09-12-2020 (4:00 PM).

The terms and conditions of resignation are as follows:-

➢ Those candidates who have been allotted any seat through all India quota or in any other state counseling wants to resign. Such candidates can resign at their respective admission nodal centers. Those candidates who resign, their tution fee would be refunded after deducting 10% of the whole amount of the tution fee deposited. There will be no deduction in their security money deposited.

For convenience, candidates go to admission nodal center along with allotment letter and Demand draft of 10% tution fee in the favor of Director General Medical Education & training, Uttar Pradesh Lucknow, payable at Lucknow.

➢ Those candidates who want to resign from thier admitted seat due to personal reasons can resign from their seat, but there would be deduction of 50% of the amount of tution fees as well as security money deposited, rest 50% amout would be refunded to the candidates.

➢ There will be no permission to resign or to vacate the admitted seat after the due date as specified above, if it happen so, then tution fee as well as security money would be forfeited.

Following is the time Schedule for UP NEET UG 2020 Second round of Online counseling for Government/Private Medical/Dental Colleges/Institutions/ University (MBBS/ BDS) Courses :-

Date of online registration

24th November 2020 from 11:00 AM to 26th November 2020

Date of declaration of online merit list

27th November 2020

Date of document verification of academic certificates/Caste/ other documents and submission of security money

02nd December 2020 from 05th December 2020

Date of online choice filling

12th December 2020 from 11:00 AM to 14th December 2020

Declaration of result of seat allotment

16th December 2020

Date for downloading allotment letters & admission

17th December 2020 from 21st December 2020

➢ For participation in counseling of UP NEET UG 2020, candidates will have to compulsorily register online by depositing Rs. 2000/- online through Website https://upneet.gov.in

➢Candidates registered in 1st round of counseling need not to register again for 2nd round of counseling.

➢Registered candidates who were not able to pay their registraion fee in 1st round of counseling can deposit their registration fee and participate in 2nd round of counseling.

➢Candidates who were not able to register themselves in 1st round of counseling due to some unforseen reasons, can now participate in 2nd round of counseling by depositing registration fee of Rs. 2000/- only (Through online Debit card/Credit card/net banking).

➢Candidates who were alloted seats in 1st round of counseling, but have not taken admission, can again participate in 2nd round of counseling by depositing prescribed amount bank Demand Draft of security fee at the self chosen document verification nodal center.

➢Candidates who were not alloted any seat in 1st round of counseling and do not want to participate in 2nd round of counselling further, can collect their respective Demand Draft of security money from self chosen document verification nodal centre, separate notification will be issued after the second round of counseling for this on website.

➢Candidates who did not submit some documents like, Caste /Ews/ or any other certificates at the time of 1st round of document verification can resubmit their documents during 2nd round of document verification at self chosen verification nodal centres.

➢For participating in 2nd round of counseling newly registerd candidates need to deposit security fee of (Rs. 30,000/- for Government seats, Rs. 2,00,000/- for Private Medical seats & Rs. 100,000/- for Private Dental seats) as CTS Bank Demand Draft in the name of "Director General Medical Education & Training, U.P". Payable at Lucknow, at self chosen document verification nodal centre.

➢Candidates who have deposited Rs. 1,00,000/- Demand Draft in 1st round of counseling for admission in private Dental Colleges (BDS) and have taken admission at the alloted seats, further want to participate in 2nd round of counseling for private Medical Colleges (MBBS seat) need to submit the additional Demand Draft of Rs. 1,00,000/- at the document verification centre mandatorily.
