RML Lucknow final year MBBS student dies in road accident, other critical

Fatal Accident
Lucknow: In a tragic incident, an MBBS student died, and his friend was critically injured in a road accident in Lucknow after a speeding and uncontrolled container truck reportedly rammed into their bike.
The deceased student has been identified as a 23-year-old final year MBBS medico at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences. The other student who got injured in the accident is also reportedly an MBBS student.
Speaking to UNI, the police officials informed, " A 23-year-old MBBS student was killed and his friend critically injured in a late-night road accident in Lucknow’s Sushant Golf City area, police said on Monday. The deceased, ***, was a final-year student at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences and lived in the institute’s hostel. He was the son of Rajeev Agarwal, a resident of Bijnor district. His friend ***, a native of Meerut and also an MBBS student, sustained serious injuries and is undergoing treatment."
According to police, the accident occurred around 1:30 am near the Police Headquarters service lane in front of Dial-112. The MBBS students had gone out on a motorcycle for tea when a speeding and uncontrolled container truck rammed into their bike. Passersby alerted the police, who rushed to the scene and took both injured students to Trauma-2 Hospital. Doctors declared one MBBS student dead on arrival, while the other remains in critical condition.
Police have taken the deceased medico's body into custody and sent it for a post-mortem. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
