After conducting the most number of corona tests in the country, the state is also on top in terms of vaccination and the second phase of vaccination has started on Friday.
Lucknow: Owing to the successful handling of Covid-19 in the state, the Yogi government has directed all the medical colleges and institutions in Uttar Pradesh to restore all the medical facilities to pre corona levels and a circular has also been issued in this regard.
However, to handle any kind of emergency, the corona wards will be available in the hospitals.
Ever since lockdown after the corona pandemic and the subsequent unlock down the process, the corona has been effectively handled in the state through regular sanitization, covid-19 protocol, contract tracing, and testing.
The surveillance teams have reached about 85 percent population of the state and this is the highest in the country. Along with this, the number of infected corona patients is also continuously decreasing in the state.
After conducting the most number of corona tests in the country, the state is also on top in terms of vaccination and the second phase of vaccination has started on Friday.
Meanwhile, the vaccination of frontline workers like policemen, military jawans, home guards, sanitization workers, employees of civil defence and workers of the revenue department, etc are being carried out in the state.
About 8 lakh health line workers and front line workers have been vaccinated from January 16 to February 11. More than 2.92 crore samples have been tested in the state and the recovery rate of UP is about 98 percent which is higher than in many states.
Being the most populous state in the country, the number of active corona cases has now reduced to just 3,000 and more than 5.89 lakh people have so far recovered from the corona. With a population of about 24 crores, the surveillance teams have also reached to about 18 crore people in the state.
