Tribal health committee to submit report in three months
Jamshedpur : An expert committee, jointly appointed by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) and Ministry of Tribal Affairs about two and half years ago to focus on tribal health and healthcare, will submit its report to the government in three months time.
The report is nearing completion and it would be submitted to the government in three months time, said the Chairman of the committee, Abhay Bang here.
Bang was in the steel city to participate in the five-day long "Samvaad 2016-a pan-India tribal conclave"themed around "Tribal Health System".
During the course, the committee gathered data on tribal health and their healthcare from various sources including Census 2011, sample registration system, National Survey report, National Nutrition Survey and tribal people, Bang said.
