Unfortunate: Speeding bus kills medicine specialist
Bhubaneshwar: In a tragic incident in Bhubaneshwar, the medical fraternity has lost a doctor, who died after being run over by a speeding private bus, near Chandrasekharpur Petrol Pump in Bhubaneswar, on Thursday.
The medicine specialist, identified as Dr Basant Rout, a practitioner in Angul.
The accident occurred when the deceased was walking towards Jayadev Vihar and a bus ran over him, leading to his immediate death.
Sensing public rage the driver and the conductor ran away from the accident site immediately. Enraged the local public threw stones at the bus breaking its glasses on all sides. They also blocked the road to Omfed Chhak as well.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner ate Police who reached the tragic site without losing much time did manage to bring the situation under control by pacifying the angry mob, reported Update Odisha.
