3 Doctors arrested for trespassing, vandalising hostel property of Thiruvananthapuram Medical College
The case relates to three medical practitioners wherein two of them are Post-Graduate (PG) doctors of Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital while one of them is a junior doctor of a private hospital.
Thiruvananthapuram: three doctors in their late 20s were recently held by the Medical College police at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital for unauthorised entry in the men's hostel and allegedly creating commotion while indulging in a row with the hostel warden and others. The trio also vandalised the hostel property during the course.
The case relates to three medical practitioners wherein two of them are Post-Graduate (PG) doctors of Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital while one of them is a junior doctor of a private hospital. The incident reportedly took place on August 18, 2019 (Sunday).

It is learnt that one of the doctors who is a pass-out of 2008 batch began the brawl around 10:30 at night after entering in the hostel premises. He was carrying a beer can along with him and also urinated inside the hostel compound.
Objecting the act, few patients and the hostel warden questioned him. However, the medical practitioner got into a fight with them instead. He broke the chairs in the mess hall and vandalised the hostel property.

Thereafter, a complaint was submitted by the warden, following which the three doctors were arrested on charges of trespassing into the UG men's hostel and causing a ruckus, reports Deccan Chronicle.
Established in the year 1951, Thiruvananthapuram Medical College is Kerala's oldest medical college. The college was known in early records as Medical College (of Thiruvananthapuram) since it was the only medical institute in the state at its inception. Its campus houses several hospitals and institutions in addition to Medical College Hospital (MCH).
