New Delhi: Acharya Balkrishna has highlighted Patanjali's Ayurved mission to expand affordable and accessible healthcare across India through Ayurveda, yoga, and telemedicine services.

In a Facebook video, Acharya Balkrishna explained that Patanjali Ayurved aims to bridge traditional Indian knowledge with modern healthcare needs, reports The Statesman. He added that the organisation is not merely a commercial entity but a mission-driven institution dedicated to public health. According to him, Patanjali develops evidence-based medicines inspired by Ayurveda and supported by research, with a strong focus on improving overall health through natural and traditional systems of healing.

He further stated that Patanjali has significantly expanded its healthcare services across the country over the years. With institutional support, more than 5,000 treatment facilities have been established to reach people who may not have easy access to hospitals or modern medical services. These centres aim to provide Ayurvedic consultation and treatment at the local level, ensuring that healthcare services are more widely available.

He also emphasized that Ayurvedic consultation is provided free of cost. For individuals who are unable to visit these centres physically, guidance is made available through remote services. He noted that yoga programs are being conducted on a large scale, with around 80,000 to 100,000 sessions taking place across India, benefiting lakhs of people on a daily basis. He added that individuals can also follow yoga programs through television broadcasts, particularly those led by Swami Ramdev.

Balkrishna further stated that Patanjali offers telemedicine support through more than 200 facilities, enabling free online consultations, including video-based medical advice. A toll-free helpline (1800-296-1111) has also been made available to provide health-related guidance. While consultations and advisory services are free, medicines can be purchased from nearby stores or delivered to homes if required.
