New Delhi: To reduce the long queues and months long waitings for surgeries at the government hospitals in the capital, the Delhi Government has now tied up with 41 NABH accredited private hospitals in Delhi to facilitate 30 surgical procedures
“We have tied up with several big private hospitals in the city to reduce the backlog in our hospitals. If the patient gets a surgery date over a month later, they will be automatically referred to these hospitals,” Delhi health minister Satyendar Jain informed Hindustan Times.
As per the tie-up, patients would be referred to these hospitals from the delhi government hospitals for various surgical procedures. The government will then reimburse these hospitals at CGHS rates for the complete treatment
HT adds that the service has been strictly limited to the residents of Delhi. " The person will only have to provide a residence proof – Aadhaar card, voter card, passport, driving license or birth certificate – to benefit from this scheme,” Jain said.
