New Delhi: The Postgraduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) of the National Medical Commission (NMC) has asked the Directorate of Medical Education of all the States and Union Territories to share the data of the students admitted to MD/MS/PG Diploma seats.

Further, the NMC PG Board has also sought the details of the postgraduate medical seats that remained vacant after the Stray Round, for which the last date of reporting was October 25, 2023.

The State and UT authorities have been asked to submit the data to the Commission urgently and the latest by November 03, 2023. They have been asked to send the details to the email IDs- support.pgmonitoring@nmc.org.in & pgmeb@nmc.org.in.

Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that recently the Commission had directed all the medical colleges and PG institutes to submit details of all the Students admitted to postgraduate medical courses during the academic Year 2023-24.

For this purpose, the PG Board of NMC had set a deadline for the concerned medical institutes. According to the NMC notification, the last date of admission to the Post Graduate Broad Specialty course, as approved, was 25 October 2023. NMC had announced that the portal for filling in the student details shall remain open till 28th October 2022

"The details of the students who have taken admission to the PG medical courses as per the data filled in by the Colleges are placed on the NMC's website. However, the names of those students whose details are not filled in by the Colleges/ Institutes within the last date of submission of data on NMC's portal, will not be displayed on the NMC's website. Hence, the onus of furnishing the data on time will lie with the College/ Institute," the NMC notice, which was issued earlier, stated.

On November 02, 2023, the Apex Medical Commission issued another notice and asked the State and UT authorities to share the data of the students admitted and the vacant PG seats after 25.10.2023.

"This is in reference to letter dated 22nd October 2023 vide which it was requested to provide the details of students admitted in Postgraduate seats (MD/ MS/ PG Diploma) in the academic year 2023. Response in this regard is still awaited. All are once again requested to provide the details of students admitted and also the seats lying vacant in All India and State Quotas after Stray Vacancy round for which the last date of reporting was 25/10/2023 till 23:59 pm," NMC mentioned in the notice issued yesterday.

"Kindly send data of students admitted and of seats which are still vacant after 25/10/2023 urgently and latest by 3.11.2023 on the following email ids: support.pgmonitoring@nmc.org.in & pgmeb@nmc.org.in," it further mentioned.
