Bengaluru: A pharmacist has been arrested for assaulting and threatening the doctor of murder for allegedly obstructing pharma business by not closing his clinic which the doctor runs for the underprivileged patients.
The matter relates to a 33-year old general physician who owns a Clinic at Mangammanapalya for the past couple of years. The doctor is known to treat poor patients at a nominal fee.
Besides, the doctor also provided medicines to his patients which reportedly hampered the business of a local pharmacist as the patients preferred seeing the doctor over the pharmacist.
Aggrieved by this, on July 21 (Sunday) around 11 in the morning the pharmacist barged into the doctor's clinic and pulled down the shutters. He then started breaking the medical devices kept inside the clinic including blood pressure (BP) apparatus. He abused the doctor while asking him to shut down the clinic.
