Health ministry owes over Rs 500 cr to pvt hospitals under CGHS  

The Union health ministry has top notch dues of over Rs 500 crores that it owes to the private hospitals beneath its Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) throughout India. The Association of Healthcare Providers (India) (AHPI), a body that represents majority of healthcare vendors in India, has written a letter to Ministry of health and family Welfare regarding the dues to be paid to over 61 hospitals throughout the country.

The frame has highlighted that there are inordinate delays in repayment to hospitals and low rates for compensation which have now not been revised on the grounds that 2014.
