The National Board of Medical Examination (NBEMS) is going to conduct DNB-PDCET 2024 on 21st July 2024 on a computer-based platform at various exam centres across the country. DNB-PDCET (Post Diploma CET) is the single window entrance examination for admission to Post Diploma DNB Broad specialty Courses.

The application form for DNB-PDCET 2024 can be submitted online only on the official website of the Natboard from May 28, 2024, 3 PM to June 17, 2024, till 11:55 PM.

India may soon introduce its first recommended limits on sugar content in packaged foods and beverages. The National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) have proposed new guidelines, which could affect products like soft drinks, juices, cookies, ice-creams, and cereals. The Economic Times reports that many stakeholders in the packaged food industry find the guidelines impractical, arguing they were not consulted beforehand.

The revised guidelines, replacing 13-year-old norms, propose that solid foods should derive no more than 5% of their energy from added sugars, and not exceed 10% from total sugars. For beverages, the limits are set at 10% of energy from added sugars and a maximum of 30% from total sugars, including those naturally present in fruit juices and milk.

As per the list, there are a total of 23 candidates who have been declared ineligible for admission to DM/M.Ch./MD (Hospital Administration) courses for the July 2024 session. Out of these 23 candidates, 14 are from the DM course and 9 candidates are from the MCH course. Apart from this, 18 candidates are from the unreserved category (UR) category, 3 are from the OBC (NCL) category and 2 are from the SC category.
