New Delhi: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has released the results of 1st round Online Seat Allocation (AIIMS Subject/Specialty) for MD/MS/MCh(6 years)/DM(6 years)/MDS, July 2020 Session 30th June 2020.

The 1st Round of seat allocation for AIIMS PG courses in MD/MS/MCh(6 years)/DM(6 years)/MDS, July 2020 Session, has been done on the basis of choices made (from 11.00 am, 25.06.2020 to 5.00 pm, 26.06.2020) by eligible candidates. The rank‐wise list of Seat Allocation (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) of the 1st Round of Online Seat Allocation is attached below:

The General Rules followed for Online Seat Allocation are given at the end of this document.

Important information:

1. This list includes all candidates who were eligible for the 1st Round of Online Seat Allocation (Those who have either registered or not registered for the Online Seat Allocation process through the online portal).

2. Based on the certificates (OBC/EWS) uploaded by the candidates as per the Notice no 75/2020 dated 14.06.2020 and subsequent representations submitted through emails sent to the registered email address of the candidates or in person, the preliminary verification of validity of certificates has been done. Accordingly, candidates who had uploaded valid certificates (OBC/EWS) have been considered in the claimed category and candidates who did not upload valid certificates or uploaded invalid certificates (OBC/EWS) have been considered as UR subject to cut off the rank of UR merit list.

3. This list does not include Foreign Nationals/Sponsored candidates.

4. Candidates who did not participate in the 1st Round of Online Seat Allocation are NOT ELIGIBLE for the 2ndand 3rd of Round of Online Seat Allocation but can participate in the Open Round of Seat Allocation.

5. For the 2ndround, the order of Online Seat Allocation process will be based on the merit order used for the 1st Round (including institutional preference seats) with no further change.

Procedure to be followed by candidates who have been allotted PG course/subject in the 1st round of online seat allocation

All candidates who have been allotted a seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) in the 1stRound of Online Seat Allocation are required to login through the portal by visiting at the website www.aiimsexams.org and actively exercise one of the following options by 5.00 PM on 6th July 2020. Failure to select any of the option as below will lead to forfeiture of the allocated AIIMS & Subject/Specialty and the candidate will become ineligible to participate in 2nd and 3rd Round.

Option 1. ACCEPT allotted Seat and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in further rounds of Seat Allocation

Option 2. ACCEPT allotted Seat and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 2nd ROUND of Seat Allocation [If you choose option‐2 and participate in next round and you are allocated another seat as per your choice in next round, then you will have to join the seat allocated during next round and the previously allocated seat shall be deemed vacated and automatically be allocated to the candidate next in merit as per choice. The vacated seat shall be automatically allocated to other candidates in order of merit in the same round. Failure to join the upgraded seat in next round of seat allocation shall lead to impositions of the penalty of Rs. 3.00 Lakh if you do not join upgraded seat.]

Instruction for each option is as follows:

Option 1: If the Option of ACCEPT allotted Seat and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in further rounds of Seat Allocation is selected then,

• The candidate/authorized representative will have to report at AIIMS (as per point 8, 9 of information brochure for 1s Round of Online Seat Allocation dated 20.06.2020) by 5.00 PM on 7th July 2020 with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the MyPage after login at www.aiimsexams.org), Seat Allocation Letter/Slip from online Portal and deposit original certificates OR a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 3 Lakhs only (Rupees Three Lakhs only) in the name of Director AIIMS, New Delhi along with photocopies of certificates. The DD will be refunded only when original certificates are deposited.

• It must be noted that by exercising this choice the candidate is OPTING NOT TO PARTICIPATE IN FURTHER ROUNDS OF SEAT ALLOCATION.

• If original certificates are not deposited at the time of joining, these will have to be submitted within 5 days of taking admission, otherwise admission will be cancelled, the deposited money will be forfeited, and the candidate will not be eligible for any further participation in Seat Allocation.

In the event of a candidate who has exercised this option but does not report in person or through an authorized representative by 5.00 PM on 7th July 2020, the admission will stand cancelled and he/she shall become ineligible for participating in all further rounds of Online Seat Allocation. No further correspondence shall be entertained in this regard. However, these candidates can participate in the Open Round of Seat Allocation.

Option 2: If the option of "ACCEPT allotted Seat and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 2ndROUND of Online Seat Allocation" is selected then

• The candidate/authorized representative will have a report to the AIIMS (as per point 8, 9 of information brochure for 1s Round of Online Seat Allocation dated 20.06.2020) by 5.00 PM on 7th July 2020 with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the MyPage after login at www.aiimsexams.org) and deposit original certificates OR a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 3 Lakhs only (Rupees Three Lakhs only) in the name of Director AIIMS, New Delhi along with photocopies of certificates. The DD will be refunded only when original certificates are deposited for joining a seat in any round of seat allocation.

• In the event of a candidate who has exercised this option but does not report in‐person or through an authorized representative (as per Information Brochure) by 5.00 PM on 7th July 2020, the admission will stand cancelled and he/she shall become ineligible for participating in all further rounds of Online Seat Allocation.

• The candidate shall be eligible for the 2nd round of Online Seat Allocation subject to above.

• If in the 2nd Round of seat allocation, a candidate who has chosen option 2 is allocated another seat as per choice made, then the candidate will have to accept the seat allocated in 2nd Round and the seat allocated in the 1st will be released automatically. Such candidates cannot retain seat allotted in 1st Round and failure to join the seat allocated in 2nd Round shall lead to the imposition of penalty of Rs. 3 lakh.

Note: If any candidate who has been allocated a seat in the 1st Round of Online Seat Allocation does not respond in any of the above manner, his/her seat allocation shall stand cancelled and he/she shall be ineligible for all further Rounds of Seat Allocation except the Open Round of Seat allocation.

Policy regarding the depositing of documents/certificates/DD  

The claim to the allotted seat by candidates is subject to verification of original documents for eligibility as applicable as well as identity verification of the candidate. If a candidate fails to submit all required certificates (original or photocopies with DD) his/her candidature shall stand cancelled, the seat offered in 1st Round shall be vacated for next Round and he/she will not be allowed to participate in 2nd and 3rd Round of seat allocation process. However, the candidate will be eligible for the Open Round of Seat Allocation.

List of Documents/Certificates that are required to be deposited in Original OR photocopy along with Demand Draft as applicable.

i) Offer Letter

ii) Seat allocation letter

iii) Final Registration Slip

iv) Admit Card issued by AIIMS.

v) Mark Sheets of MBBS/BDS 1st, 2nd and 3rd Professional Examinations.

vi) MBBS/BDS Degree Certificate.

vii) Internship Completion Certificate/Certificate from the Head of Institution or College that the candidate will be completing the internship by 31st July 2020.

viii) Permanent/Provisional Registration Certificate issued by MCI or DCI/State Medical or Dental Council.

ix) High School/Higher Secondary Certificate/Birth Certificate as proof of date of birth. (Matriculation)

x) The Candidate should also bring the following certificate if applicable*:

a. SC/ST/OBC/EWS Certificate* issued by the competent authority and should be in English or Hindi in language. The community should be clearly mentioned in the certificate. OBC/EWS certificate should be same as provided to Examination Section, AIIMS, New Delhi within in due dates.

Note: OBC Certificate* should be issued by the competent authority for central Govt. jobs/for admission in Central Govt. College/Institute. The sub‐caste should tally with the Central List of OBC. OBC Certificates that are applicable only for respective State Governments shall not be acceptable. OBC certificate must be in the Central Govt. Format as prescribed in the prospectus. OBC Candidates should not belong to Creamy Layer.

* The allocated PG Course/Subject of candidates who fail to produce valid certificates of respective constitutional categories (OBC, SC/ST/EWS) will be forfeited and the candidates will be permitted to participate in further rounds under UR category subject to conditions applicable to UR merit list.

* The validity of OBC (NCL)/EWS certificate shall be 05.04.2019 to 11.06.2020 (both date inclusive). Certificate issued within this period shall be accepted only. b. Certificate for Persons with Benchmark Disability** issued from a duly constituted and authorized Medical Board as mentioned in the prospectus.

Note: Candidates must note that a certificate from any other person/authority will not be accepted and no further correspondence in this regard shall be entertained. The name, designation and the seal of the officer should be legible in the certificate.

** The allocated seat of candidates who fail to produce a valid certificate of PWBD category will be forfeited and the candidates will be permitted to participate in the further round under their respective constitutional category subject to conditions applicable to the respective merit list.  

Policies regarding eligibility for 2nd round  

The candidates who have been allocated seat in the 1st round and have chosen the option 2 (mentioned above) and have fulfilled the requirements shall be eligible for the 2nd Round of Online Seat Allocation.

All the candidates who shall be considered in the 1stround and but have not been allocated any seat will automatically be eligible for the next round. Those who have secured more than 50thpercentile marks in the entrance examination but not called for 1st ROUND of seat allocation will not be eligible for the 2nd and 3rdround of Online Seat Allocation/Counselling but will be eligible for Open Round of Seat Allocation. All candidates who were eligible for the Mock/1st Round of seat allocation but did not register or fill choices (NR/NP in this notification) shall not be considered eligible for the 2ndand 3rdRounds of seat allocation but will be eligible for Open Round of Seat Allocation.

General rules adopted for 1st round of online seat allocation/counselling

1. Merit shall be the guiding principle for seat allocation.

a. The merit list as published in the Result Notification No. 49/2020 dated 18/06/2020 shall be used to determine merit. The eligibility of claim to OBC/EWS seat was subjected to uploading of valid certificates as mentioned in Notice No. 75/2020 and a subsequent email sent to registered email addresses of candidates.

b. All candidates whether of the unreserved or appropriate reserved category shall be eligible for the unreserved category seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) in order of merit

c. Unreserved category candidates are not eligible for reserved category seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty)

d. For an available seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) in a particular category/ preference, a candidate higher in merit shall be allotted the seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) over candidate lower in merit.

e. The validity of OBC (NCL)/EWS certificate shall be 05.04.2019 to 11.06.2020 (both date inclusive). Any certificate issued within this period shall be accepted only.

2. The seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) available for allocation are: Unreserved (UR), OBC (Other Backward Class), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Economically Weak Section (EWS), PWBD (Persons with Benchmark Disability), AIIMS Preferential seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty)

Unreserved seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty): All candidates are eligible as per merit list

OBC seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty): Only OBC candidates are eligible as per merit list subjected to online submission of valid caste Certificate within due date as per Notice No. 75/2020 and Subsequent representation through Email to registered Email Address or in person.

SC seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty): Only SC candidates are eligible

ST seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty): Only ST candidates are eligible

EWS seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty): Only EWS candidates are eligible as per merit list and online submission of valid caste Certificate within due date as per Notice No. 75/2020 and Subsequent Email to registered Email Address or in person.

PWBD seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty): Only PWBD candidates are eligible

AIIMS Preferential seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty): Only graduates from respective AIIMS(only AIIMS, New

Delhi are eligible for UR seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) of the respective AIIMS.

a. All reservations other than for PWBD are vertical reservations (reserved only in the respective categories)

b. PWBD Reservations are horizontal reservations (across categories)according to a point‐based roster as mentioned in the prospectus

c. Seats (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) remaining vacant after allocation to eligible PWBD candidate of a respective category will be released for seat allocation in their respective categories in the same round

d. AIIMS Preferential seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) for AIIMS graduates shall be available amongst the UR seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty)

3. Every candidate has been Allocated a Seat (Specialty/Subject) as per his/her best choice provided, as available at that rank for the 1stRound.

4. If at a particular rank for a candidate, the best choice of the candidate is available in both the open merit (unreserved) as well as a reserved category (wherever applicable) then the seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) has been allocated under the unreserved category and not the reserved category.

a. Seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) in the reserved category for reserved candidate shall be allocated only if there is no corresponding seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) available in the unreserved category for the best choice of the candidate available at that rank

b. If a PWBD (PWD) candidate gets a better choice in the open merit UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS he/she has been given that choice

5. For Persons with Benchmark Disability (more than 40%), a 5% horizontal reservation shall be followed for the seats (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) and allocation has been done on basis of merit.

a. PWBD candidates are eligible only for the category to which he/she belongs i.e. If a candidate belongs to a reserved category, he /she is eligible for a seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) only under that category and not in the unreserved category (horizontal reservation)

i. Eligible PWBD candidate of UR category can avail a reserved seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) only in the UR category

ii. Eligible PWBD candidate of OBC category can avail a reserved seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) only in the OBC category

iii. Eligible PWBD candidate of SC category can avail a reserved seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) only in the SC category

iv. Eligible PWBD candidate of ST category can avail a reserved seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) only in the ST category

v. Eligible PWBD candidate of EWS category can avail a reserved seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) only in the ST category

6. AIIMS preference Allocation: For AIIMS‐New Delhi the Institutional Preference shall be allocated according to the criteria mentioned in the Prospectus (page no 16).

7. Vacant seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) in 1st round of seat allocation shall be allotted in subsequent rounds by following the above rules.

8. All those candidates who filled choices in the Mock Round but did not edit (reorder/add/delete) later, the choices made in the Mock Round have been considered for the 1st round of seat allocation subject to rules for eligibility and allocation.

9. All candidate must read the Information Brochure for 1st round of Online Seat Allocation (F.AIIMS/EXAM.SEC./4‐ 5/(PG‐JULY‐2020)/2020 Dated 20.06.2020), instructions given in offer letter, Email sent on the registered Email address.

Participation in the 1 St Round is mandatory to be eligible for the 2 nd round of Online seat allocation for MD/MS /MCH(6YEARS)/DM(6 YEARS)/MDS, July 2020 Session
